Welcome, I'm Marcie

Existential psychotherapy, supervision & end-of-life research.

I’m an existential psychotherapist, supervisor, and doctoral researcher working with bereavement, responsibility, identity, race, gender, immigration, and major life changes.

My work is compassionate, grounded, and rooted in real-life experience. I make space for honest conversations about the parts of life that are often difficult to name — family, culture, difference, uncertainty, and loss.

I help people make sense of life when life stops making sense.

Alongside therapy and supervision, my doctoral research explores women’s experiences of making end-of-life decisions for their mothers after a sudden health crisis.

Giving voice to women’s end-of-life decisions

Many women carry the responsibility of making life-and-death decisions for loved ones, yet their experiences are often hidden. This doctoral research gives voice to midlife daughters who made the decision to withdraw life support for their mothers after a sudden health crisis.
